Rules: first draft

Overview

This is a map based campaign for AT-43. It puts the forces of the UNA against the Red Blok for control of a major city known as Carolopolis. The map is used to represent control of various territories in the city. During the deployment phase players place control markers in the territories to represent the expansion or fortification of their forces. If a territory is contested by more than one faction, a battle is fought for control. The object is to eliminate all enemy control markers to secure the city.

Campaign turn

1. Roll initiative
2. Deploy control markers
3. Battle
4. Calculate control advantage
5.Redeploy

Roll initiative

Players roll d6 to determine initiative. Loser goes first, reroll ties.

Deploy control markers

Players place control markers on the map to designate control of the territories. The first territory controlled must be the entry bridge designated for that faction. All subsequient makers must either be placed in an territory adjacent to one already controlled by the player (expansion) or in one already controlled by the player (fortification). A player who has lost control of their entry bridge may only place markers there.

Battle
A contested territory contains control markers of both players. The player who placed the contesting control marker is the attacking player. Attacking player decides which scenario to play. Winner eliminates one of the opposing players control markers. If any remain another battle is fought until the territory is no longer contested.

Calculate control advantage

Count the numbers of territories controlled by each player. A player may place and additional control marker for each 5 territories he controls over his opponent. For example: if UNA controls 21 and Red Block controls 15, the UNA player may place two control markers in the following turn.

Also territories must remain continuous. If a territory or group of territories is "cut off" they will revert to neutral during this phase. That player removes all control markers.

Redeploy

Players may move any markers within their controlled territories.
